GQ’s best dressed man-people

This week marked one of those once-a-year events where men folk pull up all kinds of tricks from their rolled-up skinny jeans and gear up for GQ South Africa’s annual Best Dressed Men of the year.

Building up to the event, there was an awful lot of hisses about who might have made it on the list –the top 50 list that is. I have to admit that I too, tried to bribe my contact line so as to at least have an idea of how this year’s list is looking. No price for guessing that I was rather unsuccessful in this regard.

The event was held at the attractive Westcliff Hotel (as every year) and attendees were not too disappointing (if you weed out the few carbon replicas of MTV music video characters). The top ten awardees are always stirring coz’ nobody ever really sees it coming, preceded with “oohs”, never ending “aahs” and an odd scream by a random girl.

The fine hostess Bonang “your girl B*” Matheba introduced us to the 10 finalists as elected by a modish advisory panel under careful leadership of fashion powerhouse; Arthur Malan-Murison and the coveted number 1 spot awarded to paralympic athlete and Thiery Muggler ambassador; Oscar Pistorious under the SPORTS category. Other categories included ARTS, FASHION, BUSINESS and MEDIA.

OH, AND A BIG THANKS TO THE TEAM FOR NOMINATING ces’t mois UNDER THE FASHION CATEGORY!!!!

You guys are awesome!!!
