Fashion is happy again! This is definitely a fact if attendees of the recent South African Fashion Week SS/2012-13’s sense of wear is anything to go by. For a long time fashionistas wore black and made it tres chic. This “uniform” has since been skopped in the behind by Elle Magazine South Africa’s Poppy Evans’ black ankle length leather booties. Stylistas came to play and wore pops of color, some blocked, some fabulously layered and the rest in full gear of happy neons.
I don’t want anything out of life if not feasting my eyes on those fab-tastic Miu Miu stunneres worn by Poppy Evans. She opted to layer her yellow print dress with a pair of opaque tights and a leather bicker.
Solly Moeng and his friend here keep the pop of color with their tops. Dearest Solly went for strong shoulders and blocked lapels and brass buttons bare chested, while the friend styled his for a more sports luxe feel with jeans.
From TrueLove magazine with love. Fashion duo Palesa Mahlaba and Nondumiso Mazwi. Palesa wore a high waisted pair of blue pants and Nondumiso donned a dusty floral form fitting full length dress. Whats not to adore here?
Chipo Mapondera from Styling Concepts is a perfect candidate to wrap this edition of street style because she took is straight to the street by styling her romantic dress in a pale blush pink, a bright mini box satchel and those awesome NIKE trainers. Taking personal style to a whole new level.
See ladies and gents. fear not a bit (or a lot) of color. Fashion says so and we should follow suit.
