Now you go ahead and #Protest about it!!!

What do you get when you put three rad bloggers with unavoidable online presence, an essayist-come-creative director of an eco luxe fashion label and celebrities who “work it” hard in their various fields? The only possible answer is Fundudzi by Graig Jacobs’s summer #PROTEST campaign. Yeah, hashtag it!

Jerri Mokgofe of According To Jerri (who also helped Jacobs steer the campaign creatively) photographed socialite and businesswoman Edith Venter wearing a t-shirt pronouncing,“Nationalise Your Mind” teamed with a camouflage print pleated skirt in her Sandton home.

Award winning blogger Malibongwe Tyilo of Skattie What Are You Wearing (who describes himself as “a postponed revolution”) took to photographing arguably South Africa’s most controversial personality, Khanyi Mbau, at the SAFW offices in Rosebank.

Mbau wears the label’s “Eat The Rich” kimono-sleeve t-shirt dress in the campaign.

Meanwhile, chicster Thithi Nteta of tee tee is with me took to the streets of downtown Joburg to snap sultry TV personality and model boss Shashi Naidoo wearing the iconic Protest tank top with a pair of Fundudzi by Craig Jacobs Afro-print shorts on Queen Elizabeth Bridge near the Bree Street Taxi rank

The slogans were designed by the talented Unathi Mkonto and the collection is said to be inspired by various protest movements from Arab Spring to Occupy Wall Street and Pussy Riot to marches by local youth –yes. Fashion thinks!!
