I know what you’re thinking; “green-ish shoes, a leafy green backdrop, blah, blah, blah MJ. We’ve been having it?” Well, they’re actually teal -these PUMA Suede Animal kicks. Back to it; I just can’t help it, every time I wear these printed sneakers a part of me tunes into a modern day fashion Tarzan and take to the greenery with my natural Stylopolitan missions. I recently cracked my much prayed for plus-one status and the invitation called for “casual” traditional gear which somehow interpreted a major conundrum in my camp #GoFigure. I had many a self-trial about which tradition gear to adopt and how far one can stretch it. As it turned out; I really couldn’t take as far as I wanted to. Subsequently, good sense knocked in and with the very short time I had (at a turn of an extremely busy season), I had to hit off-the-peg dealers and #WERQ on a comfortable summer look. Don’t get me wrong, I am sickeningly proud of the multitudinous and beautiful traditions we have and some of the original stuff is too fierce to not fashion hard with. My moment of absolute awesomery, came when I bargained for this perfect oversized tan shirt from H&M adorned with a print combo of florals and leopard prints. It is chic, it is the perfect length I am currently wearing, plays on the in season prints (because animal is EVERITHING right now), traditional summer gardenia and the base colour looks hella attractive. I knew without a shadow of doubt that it was the piece to have. Also, we simply cannot ignore the minimal, yet noticeable print-on-print vibe here. Fate at work shall I dare say!?
