I should have giant tape of tinfoil plaster tape to slap across someone’s mouth whenever I detect the claim around tartan weaves and prints’ return to fashion. You don’t need me to tell you that it never left and there is no necessary trickery to wearing it. It will continue to be in our lives forever.
Truth is; you can pull it off, or you just can’t and I understand that some people are just not bold enough to wear their tartans/ checks in fresh and interesting ways. Hence I giggle and throw air punches in all sorts of directions whilst beaming gleefully like a foodstagramer at a farmer’s market, when I see individuals like fellow blog-star Emma-Jane Harbour of emmajanenation.com rocking heritage prints like you’ve never seen them before.
In these pics, dearest Emma-Jane #WERQs a stunning twinset *throws yet another musical-esque punch in the air* from Mr Price and she looks all sorts of cute. I love the pleated high-waisted mini in a skater shape and a matching boxy cut crop-top which can be styled in infinite ways.
I don’t know if this was her specific styling technique; but the peep-toe block heels with cut-out details signals to me that she is a stylopolitan whose understanding of geographic details ticks all boxes.
