Last Saturday was fest of merriments as I got to hangout with a few really cool readers of this blog and some enthused deco experts at the Elle Decoration Magazine’s Readers workshop event in Pretoria’s Brooklyn Mall. Such a kiki I tell you. I must say, for a grand total of six minutes; waking up early on Saturday morning felt like I had overcommitted myself there, but upon my arrival at the mall and meeting everyone in a jovial mood totally made up for it. And I was definitely not mad at the brimmed flute of bubbles either. Speakers at the workshop delivered immensely and the attendees’ gratitude ranked unmatched. We all came out of those sessions armed with guided proficiency and a fresh perspective on how to style our homes in our truest reflections. I won’t even dare pick my favourite speaker of the day. from Laureen Rossouw’s presentation on top trends as lauded in the world’s top design capitals to John Jacob’s eye-opening approach to correcting general wrongness in most homes and of course; the perfect way to arrange table settings as articulated by a professional from Otto de Jagger’s trusted team. Fun times, fun people and a fun vibe. I would absolutely recommend these sessions to everyone I know.
PIC TIME WITH THE WINNERS WHO MADE IT TO THE DO.
