The spring season hasn’t even done its thing yet and I am already drinking from the fountain of cool-Kid-Juice, being one with these streets –all jolly-jumpy and stuff. Well, I do suppose I have ample reason to be springing off scorched grass (not the cool-kind-juice drinking bit. that is all because I am a liker of things). Anyway, yes, I am completely all about the dancing, the jumping, and the breaking out in song unheard of at the random of occasions because my jean-pant game has just seen an upgrade. Wrangler’s newest Greensboro release, aptly named Bait Blue has me done in.
The fit is regular in the rise, with a slightly higher back than the front to offer a comfortable yet modern look and feel. Through the thigh the fit is regular for comfort and a trim look. Key to the Greensboro’s fit is a slight taper from the knee to the bottom hem – giving the impression of a slimmer leg, for a clean, modern, standard fit. Available in 1- 2% stretch denim for comfort and freedom of movement.
I am always championing the renowned brand’s #KnowYourFit campaign and the Greenboro is definitely pioneering a new standard in the jeans department. I am all for the guarantee with a casual quality strategy, so I wore my pair to the park the other day. Seen in these pics, coordinated for a look I hope conveys a fresh-out-of-winter vibe…
Recent interactions with friends of the blog via social media have put my personal dress-up sense under a massive spotlight. I’m always game and jumpy to partake in spirited conversations about fashion, all day every day. A keypad-pal based in the far north parts of the continent posed a series of lengthy questions about what I actually wear on the daily. “Not all the fancy stuff I post on my communication pages, but what you truly wear to face each day.” I must admit, I chuckled a bit as a way to overcome the odds of being “tested” by this strong-willed human. I was more than happy to exchange #hashtagged pleasantries themed with referrals to some of my lesser trend focused looks, but the crux of our short-lived cyberspace episode had me wondering for a bit if I could ever not wear what I want to wear on the daily. My goodness, I am terrified to even imagine the wretchedness. Truth is, I form part of a breed of people who wear what they want, however the heck I please and it has served me quite well thus far.
This look I donned for my 8th day of #GQSTYLEDIARY is me at my most ordinary, caring for very little beyond the need to hit the streets and find the type of inspiration I could use -armed with my small camera and a hope to translate optimism through my fave colour in the whole wide world.

Remember when I wanted an in with Wrangler’s super awesome winter 2013 campaign aptly titled “Find Your Edge”? Well, I am crazy happy to report that the edge is absolutely nearly met. I haven’t gone on that fashionistahood of the travelling pants adventure as yet, but demmet, I am so close I can almost taste the dust from sand-boarding. I have found my edge in Wrangler’s newly revived zigzag-weaved Broken Twill. Invented in 1964 (come on, this is fate,) the unique weave is known to eliminate an ever so annoying leg seam-twisting situation even when the denim is washed. This technology has further enhanced comfort, durability and flexibility of denimwear *insert an air-punch for rad pointers*. This season, the jeanpant has shown brilliant growth in the keeping-up-with-the-awesomest department and created a modern and beautifully distressed collection aburst with character. I wore mine (“W” top stitch and all) at an opening of a pop-up store and styled it in a street style referenced fashion, complete with brogues, an unrolled turn-up, a silk sweater and a trilby. You see, I have worn some really great jeans in my life and I have to say, these must be my first most fuss free and completely easy to style pair. I’ve got a good mind to flirt with an idea to gather a few more, besides, this match has already been fortified by something new (for me), something blue (duh) and something old (you don’t need me to hook you up with a history lesson).
BTW, if you buy these at any Stuttafords nationwide, you will recieve a Wrangler Heritage Tee! Can’t say they ain’t cool!!!
I swear all of my existence originates from the travelling hipster era. I swear. Both my parents were born in the 60s and since I have never seen images of my grand folks in the Age of the Aquarius, my only clear reference has to be my obsession with HAIR, the musical –if my watching, singing and studying the wardrobe twice every weekend is anything to go by. Gosh I love “free love”. That was of course, until the 109 years old jean-pant brand; WRANGLER came along with their Winter 2013 and reminded me that I need to get fashionistahood of the travelling pants vibe going on. This snap story is everything a modern-day lover of all things alternative surreptitiously wants to be received, through the appealing spirit of freedom and just being real about fashion. Whilst carrying the label’s iconic W top-stitching on the back pockets, next winter’s direction is all about finding one’s edge. The media release states that “Wrangler “Find Your Edge” is an emotive call to action to awake your instincts and untameable wild spirit, igniting your sense of spontaneous adventure”. I want an in. These images are enough to ignite the need to cope with wild nature out on the open road… wearing only the raddest denim. FEAST!
