Let it be known that I have zero intentions to neither shut nor fade out this here original abode for the great relationship we have nursed so well over the past half-a-decade or so. We have now progressed onto WWW.MJANDSTUFF.COM! This here page will stay hyperlinked all the time as it houses an important evolution of all of our fashion journey. The move is just the sensible next step for me and to try and tailor-make my content.

The wide invitation for lady-people keen to affiliate with the top quality hair removal brand began on the 10^th of last month and will be wrapping up on the coming Wednesday (22/10/14), so there are still a few hours to enter.

GO BOS ON A CAN!

Am I the only one who launches into a rampage of doodles whenever I am armed with a colour pen? In this head of mine, I envision myself as passionate long distant -like the 1200^th in line- cousin of Jean Michel Basquiat (my tale, my cast). Leave me with anything that remotely resembles a canvas, I assume warrant to reform the situation. This here a hobby is about to be realised beyond my immediate family’s strained-eye peeks, all thanks to BOS Ice Tea’s brand new campaign to get us all exercising the left side of our brain works.

For the first time, since their launch in 2010, BOS Ice Tea is opening their design doors to the public to find a unique design for a limited edition flavour, to be launched this summer. Under the wide brief; “Go BOS!” the local brand is inviting everyone to get creative and stand a chance to have their design picked and produces on 100 000 limited edition cans to go in store in addition to a R10 000 cash prize.

No doubt that I jumped on the opportunity to utilize the BOS DESIGNER online app –which is like, crazy easy to use and guides you through the design process– for a few minutes and added a few key party symbols onto the bright yellow packaging, the result of which coincide with the Ultimate Party Constituency.  *Check this pic below.* @BOS will also be giving away spot prizes to new entries throughout the duration of the competition and there will be plenty of BOS Ice Tea product, merchandise and Kalahari vouchers up for grabs.

DINING WITH RON ZACAPA.

I have decided! My weekend posts will from now on always be about other aspects of my life because, you know, I am a certified liker of things and I do have a life outside of fashion too. Contrary to popular belief…

Over a week ago, I was invited to join an intimate crew of influential humans for an exclusive evening of fine dining at the well awarded DWEleven- 13 whilst learning about the marvellous Ron Zacapa Rum. What a treat. The knowledgeable Gareth Wainwright took to the role of hosting and expertly educated a few of us about the beverage’s welcomed footprint in the country alongside lip-smacking cuisine designed to match.

No prize for guessing that the Ron Zacapa sprung right up my alley –it must have something to do with my part-Caribbean hereditary. That said, I must stress that Ron Zacapa is a truly rare brew because unlike moss standard rums, the premium spirit is handcrafted in high altitudes, about 2300 metres above sea level in the mountains of Guatemala. The masterful and slowed maturing process is cared for under Lorena Vásquez’s strict guidance and having been gifted with my own bottle (with my name engraved in gold no less) I now understand the concentrated awesomeness invested in this rum.

Great evening of great sippies and of course preamble relations.
